MENU
The Future Leaders Program typically includes six or more weeks of paid training. Some learning experiences happen in classrooms at our Rhode Island campus, and some may be on the job at your assigned location. Training aligns with either the Associate Adjuster or Associate Team Manager track, and the length and location of yours will depend on your track. After, or even during your training period, you’ll go on to one of our countrywide offices, in a move managed by one of our third-party relocation partners and supported by Amica’s Talent Management team. And thanks to our grow-from-within philosophy, there are opportunities to determine your future career path. While the Associate Adjuster position offers you countrywide placement, the Associate Team Manager offers both regional and countrywide options. Regional puts you in one of our five regions: Atlantic, Central, Northeast, Southeast or West. This option works well for candidates who prefer a particular region or would like certainty in their location. Countrywide requires relocation to any one of our 27 offices. This placement is suited for candidates seeking increased growth opportunities and new experiences in different parts of the country. While you’ll be providing input on your desired location, the ultimate decision will be made by trainers and according to business needs. For anyone adding more than 50 miles to their office commute, we offer excellent and comprehensive relocation packages. Locations are typically assigned halfway through the training program. FLP training just may change your life. Where might it lead? That’s up to you.

“Amica’s been fantastic at supporting my education. During my career, I’ve gotten 10 insurance designations and my MBA, which Amica helped pay for.”
It’s pretty simple. We take our culture, our purpose and our promises seriously. And the well-being of our employees, too. Our people are a big part of what's driven our reputation for customer service since our founding in 1907. So, we want the best people to come here, stay here and thrive here. We’re the longest-standing mutual insurer of automobiles in the U.S., and also offer home, life, marine and umbrella insurance, as well as annuities. Mutual means we’re not a publically traded company, so our focus is on our policyholders rather than shareholders. It’s partly why we consistently earn the highest customer satisfaction ratings in our industry.
To help you get out from under the expenses of your education.
At Amica, you’ll find benefits that make it easy to build a career and enjoy your life, including a full range of traditional benefits, like medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance, and a generous 401(k) program. Then it gets a little sweeter with programs like these:
To help you keep learning as you’re working.
To help you recoup up to $800 a year for the things you do to get and stay healthy. Gym memberships, yoga classes, road race fees and more.
So you can roll up your sleeves and dig into the causes you care about.
Amica is deeply committed to meeting the needs of our communities. And empowering employees to contribute to the things they care about is something we take very seriously. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility program, we support nonprofits in Rhode Island and on a national level, through event sponsorships, grants and pro bono services. We also match employees’ donations to nonprofit organizations, and award grants in their names – and even their spouses’.
We don’t just want employees to be at Amica. We want them to feel they belong here. Diversity and inclusion are part of who we are. We take active steps to prove our commitment to diversity and inclusion in our hiring and professional development practices, and in how we support and interact with people every day. And we hold steady to our long-term goal of an Amica that reflects the world as it should be: a celebration and acceptance of difference. Difference ensures that we see things from many angles and respond in the right ways. Being different – together – makes us better.
